In Loan Capital Markets (LCM), which sits within Investment Banking & Securities and the broader Large Corporates & Institutions organization, we focus on the origination of loans within our dedicated coverage teams Corporate Loans, Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Renewable & Project Finance. We are furthermore the leading Nordic arranger of green and sustainable lending products which is a key focus area for Danske Bank. LCM also includes a Loan Agency team in Copenhagen and Stockholm, a Loan Syndications team in London and Loan Support located in Copenhagen. LCM work in close collaboration with LC&I Legal. Our clients range from multinationals to mid-caps, both with public and private ownership.
Corporate Loans (CL) is part of Loan Capital Markets (LCM) which resides within the business unit Investment Banking & Securities in Danske Bank and plays a leading role in complex financing arrangements. LCM supports both large client teams in Large Corporate and Institutional Banking (LC&I) and the client teams within the groups commercial Banking division.
LCM has a Capital Markets oriented business model with loan underwrite-to-distribute and bridge financing to capital markets take-outs. As a leading Underwriter and Mandated Lead Arranger of Nordic syndicated Loans, we consistently place among the most active banks in terms of transaction volume in Bloomberg league tables, ahead of several international investment banks and regional commercial banks. Building on this momentum, we are seeking an Analyst to join our dynamic, deal-centric environment and to actively participate in live transactions while building strong credit analysis experience.
Be a part of our Analyst Programme
As our new analyst, you will be working with:
- Participating in the origination and execution of new transactions
- Financial modelling to assess debt capacity and capital structure alternatives
- Preparation of internal (e.g. towards business and credit committees) and external presentations for corporate clients, financial institutions and other potential borrowers
- Strategic, financial and cash-flow analyses; including evaluation of due diligence materials
You will learn and deepen your understanding and experience of complex financing arrangements. You will also meet management in a wide range of companies from different industrial sectors and learn and understand various business models, how to assess risk factors and what creates value in a company’s business model.
To achieve your goals in LCM, you should have strong analytical skills, and a positive can-do attitude. You have a passion for working in a progressive and ambitious environment, you are independent, creative, result oriented and a quick learner. It is important you are a collaborator with professional communication skills, as you will be in touch with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis. Fluency in English is a requirement as we operate in an international environment. We work in a competitive market where things can get hectic from time to time – it is therefore important that you are able to prioritize your work tasks. Additionally, competences in excel and power point is critical as well as a high level of IT proficiency.
